Calling all organizations, activists, and community change agents working for Water and Food Justice, Environmental Justice, Education Justice, and Black Lives Matter/Black Liberation!

On April 22nd and 23rd, 2016, come in solidarity to the first Detroit Just Transition People Movement Assembly at the Cass Corridor Commons sponsored by the East Michigan Environmental Action Council (EMEAC) and Global Grassroots Justice (GGJ) . The theme of our Just Transition Assembly in Detroit is building an intergenerational movement increasing capacity for community self-determination and de-siloing our movement. Detroit is a movement by the people, for the people, and of the people of Detroit.

This a free event. Dinner Friday, and Saturday Breakfast and lunch served. Limited solidarity housing support is available.

On Friday evening (April 22) many of us will be going to the Detroit Black Community Food Security Network 10th Anniversary Concert from 8-10pm at the Charles H. Wright Museum. Tickets are $25 but we have been able to get a group discount for PMA Participants. The DBCFSN brings together many important fronts of struggle including Food Justice, Black Liberation, Education, Environmental Justice and so much more. Joining in this cultural celebration will be a powerful kick off to the Assembly.
