Career Connected Internship Application 
If you are interested in a Spring or Summer internship, please complete this application. The application is designed to help us tailor the internship experience to match both your needs and the needs of the internship sites we partner with. 

Some basic Career Connected Internship information:

You must be 16 years old AND a Junior or Senior in high school.
  
Students who complete the internship program earn .5 high school CTE Elective credits and 3 college Business & Consumer Science credits through Clark College. 

Requirements to complete the internship program:
  • Complete a total of 90 hours between curriculum and on-site work
  • Submit internship hours every 2 weeks
  • Complete ALL Canvas assignments
  • Attend ALL required activities and events
VPS runs a Spring and Summer session for internships. Students will complete necessary coursework in the semester before their internship placement. Students will interview with prospective internship sites. If you do not receive an internship placement in one cohort, you will remain on the list for future opportunities, and we will continue to reach out to you.

If, at any time, you would like to remove yourself from the internship interest list, please email vps.cte@vansd.org and tell us you are no longer interested.

Please note: VPS Internships are NOT PAID EMPLOYMENT. They are short experiences to learn more about a particular career pathway. Internships are learning opportunities to help you make decisions about what you would like to do after high school. Some internships are paid, others are unpaid, others come with a small student learner stipend at the end of the internship.

If you are interested in getting a job, please visit your school Career Center to get information about applying for jobs in our community. 

If you already have a job, you can earn credit for that also! Please complete THIS form instead and we will connect with you and your employer to get you signed up for Work Experience credit.
