Eligibility Requirements:
- Strong desire to participate in outdoor education training, professional development, and community-building engagement with fellow participants
- Commitment to attend and complete this four-month training program is mandatory, including in-person training on weekends and bi-weekly virtual evening meetings.
- Acknowledgment that training includes some in-person overnight camping and lodging. OEI is a significant time and energy commitment
- Be within the age range of 18 to 26 years old. Consideration is given to those that are over 26 but is not guaranteed
OEI Important Dates
- Applications open - June 1st
- Applications close - July 8th
- Program start - Week of July 24th with a virtual meeting leading up to our in-person weekend
- Program end - Week of November 3rd with mandatory virtual OEI Graduation
- In-person kickoff - August 3rd-4th
- In-person Culmination Retreat - November 1st-3rd
OEI staff will review applications as they are submitted. Qualified candidates will be contacted for interviews within the week of application submission. Interviews will occur on a rolling basis.
