Objective: To disburse naloxone and provide training in its use to persons who are at risk of overdose or their families or friends who want to carry naloxone to save the life of someone experiencing an overdose. This is a one year program. Naloxone and naloxone training may also be provided to local communities who wish to proactively reduce the risk of opioid overdose deaths.
Eligibility:
- Any city and county first responder agencies, school, colleges, community organizations, and businesses can apply.
- Naloxone received through this program cannot be sold or disbursed to harm reduction programs for redistribution.
- Naloxone may be used for discharge from hospitals, private mental health facilities, treatment facilities, recovery facilities, and county detention facilities.
Requirements:
- Responsibly distributing naloxone
- Providing training on naloxone use (Training provided by ARORP)
- Ensuring participants download the ReviveAR app
- Collecting simple data on trainings and distribution
- Encouraging participants to report naloxone use
