REQUIRED: Health and PE Grade 7: At least one semester of PE is required for all students. All students will be assigned PE for one of their elective classes, meeting 45 minutes each day. _____Theatre Arts Grade 7 (semester): 7th Grade will be exploring the world of the stage with a concentration on styles and technique. Projects will include monologue and auditioning, playwriting, storytelling, theatre performance, stagecraft, and the development of theatre from the Renaissance through the 20th Century.

String Orchestra is offered as a year long class for students who have had one year of beginning strings, equivalent study privately, or by audition with the orchestra teacher. Students are expected and required to perform with the orchestra for two major evening concerts and other performances which may include travel and adjudication. Opportunities for students who are motivated towards more advanced skills include auditioning for county and regional orchestra groups. Students are required to have their own instruments, required accessories and method books used for class instruction. Enka Middle School artists will explore the elements of art: line, color, shape, value, form, space, and texture with a variety of art materials. Artists will be using dry materials like colored pencils and markers and wet materials like paints. Clay is always a favorite art material for middle school artists. Vocal Music Grade 7 (Chorus) (semester/all year) Seventh Grade Chorus is offered in semesters and all year. No experience needed - you do not have to have taken chorus in 6th grade. After-school concerts are required/graded, once each nine weeks.
