2016 ORC4G Student Application Form
*A Note on Financial Accessibility and Camp Costs

As always, tuition for ORC4G follows a pay-what-you-can model and no camper will be turned away for financial reasons. Our aim is to make camp accessible to anyone who wants to participate. However, we are also a volunteer-run community organization with limited resources that does not profit from our activities. In fact, we are able to run camp mostly in thanks to the generosity of our donors and sponsors, as well as the support of our community.

Factoring in the in-kind donations we rely on to operate our camp, the remaining cost per camper is approximately $200 for the weekend. We ask that those who can afford to cover the full cost please do so. As mentioned, we also recognize that this isn’t possible for everyone and are pleased to offer an honour-based sliding scale system built on need - it is up you and your family to decide how much you can afford to contribute.

Please be honest in your assessment of your own resources, as we do not require any documentation to prove your financial situation. Our aim is to make camp accessible to anyone who wants to participate. If possible, upon acceptance we ask that every family contribute a minimum donation of $25 towards their camper’s tuition to ensure that their spot will be held.

Here is a suggested guideline for assessing your contribution to tuition:
Household income less than $20,000 – $25 donation or pay what you can
Household income less than $40,000 – $25 donation + pay what you can
Household income over $40,000 – pay full fee or pay what you can
Household income over $80,000 – pay full fee unless extenuating circumstances

If your camper appreciates her experience at this year’s camp, we encourage you to make a donation to ORC4G at our showcase event on Sunday, November 6th. We will have donation jars by the door and can accept cash or cheques made out to “Ottawa Rock Camp for Girls”. Alternatively, you can donate on our website using a credit card or PayPal through the “Donate” link or directly at https://www.paypal.me/ORC4G .

Payment Information
If registration is confirmed, Ottawa Rock Camp for Girls will move ahead with our PWYC tuition system as mentioned above. Here again are our suggested guidelines:

Household income less than $20,000 – $25 donation or pay what you can
Household income less than $40,000 – $25 donation + pay what you can
Household income over $40,000 – pay full fee or pay what you can
Household income over $80,000 – pay full fee unless extenuating circumstances

Please note that this amount has no bearing whatsoever on acceptance to camp. It is just for our records and efficiency at registration time. No proof of income will be requested.

Referring to our suggested above guidelines, what amount will you be able to contribute toward the weekend? ($0 - $200; suggested minimum $25)
Your answer
If more than $0, the fee can be paid on our website using a credit card or PayPal (you will be given a link on confirmation of registration) or by cash or cheque (payable to Ottawa Rock Camp for Girls) on the first day of camp. Please select which method you prefer:
