Dear Parents,
 
As part of our Grade 4 unit on Earth Changes we have been studying:
How has the Earth’s structure changed over time?
What causes the Earth's structure to continually change?
What is the impact of this change?

To see Earth changes in our local environment, we are going on a field trip to Batu Caves. We will be going to find evidence of fast and slow processes, weathering and erosion, and different stages of the rock cycle. After touring the Dark Cave, we will take some time to reflect on our Beliefs and Values unit by visiting the Hindu shrines at the top and bottom of the hill.
 
We plan to go on April 3rd and 4th, 2019.  We will be leaving ISKL at approximately 8:15 am and return at approximately 12:15 pm.

April 3rd: 4NJ 4KR, 4AW
April 4th: 4KW, 4JK, 4AG
 
Your child will need to bring a packed snack which we will eat before we go and they will also need to take a water bottle. Due to monkey prevalence at the caves, students will be eating their food at school and keeping their water bottles on the bus.  Students will also need to wear their school uniform. Shorts or skirts need cover the knees as this is also a place of worship. GIrls can wear leggings under their skirts for this trip. Because we will be walking up steep steps and around a cave, they need to wear comfortable closed-toed walking shoes. This is important for health and safety reasons.

We will be back to school in time for lunch.
