BWGC has awarded $230,500 to organizations providing exciting experiences in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM), Leadership and Entrepreneurship with measurable impact on the lives of over 2,100 girls and young women in Northern Virginia.

As we begin to plan for 2020, we would like to get your feedback on how we are meeting our members' expectations and ask for your input on our agenda for the upcoming year.

4. BWGC EVENTS: During 2019, in addition to the Grants Committee, BWGC held a few Education Events, Pop-ups, an Open House, and our 5th Anniversary Luncheon. We would like to know your thoughts on last year's calendar and the frequency of events. *

11. BWGC CONNECTED: There are many ways BWGC members to get connected. Opportunities include working on BWGC committees, attending events, presenting something you are passionate about, or volunteering with our grantees in the community. You can be as engaged as your time allows or let your annual contribution reflect your ongoing support. Please indicate if you would like to help with the following - check all that apply! *

Membership Committee: Recruit and welcome new members as well as build a strong culture for our current members

Grants Commitee: The Grants Committee oversees all aspects of the grant making process from preparing the RFP to reviewing grants and developing the member ballot for grant distribution. ption 2

Communications Committee: Create communications plan and tools, quarterly newsletter, post and update member events, and update annual Impact Report

Steering Committee: The Steering Committee acts like the Governing Board of the Circle. It's made up of the Chairs and Co-Chairs of each of the committees listed above with a Chair and Chair Elect as leads.

Network & Education Committee: The BWGC is an organization that attracts new members and supports lifelong membership in order to make the most investment impact. The NEC committee plans all Education and Networking events in support of these goals.

Engagement Committee: This committee helps make positive and lasting impact on girls and young women throughout the region beyond our grant making by providing mentoring and other strategic volunteer engagement.

Capacity Building: This committee supports our grantees beyond our financial investment by leveraging our leadership position in our focus area. Capacity Building committee plans and provides opportunities for current and past grantees to convene, share and learn from each other and experts.
