An hour-long presentation about technologies that will benefit your deaf/hard of hearing child and family. Below this registration, please check the boxes of technology items you would like to learn more about. Did you know most of these technologies from Easterseals can be loaned to a family to try before purchasing the product? To learn more you can go to
Easterseals website. Easterseals also has an
Assistive Technology Program: Online Training which covers six modules: Introduction, Alternative Text, Color Contrast, Accessible Headings, Descriptive Links, Clear Language.
While parents are involved with learning what's new in technology, children (hearing and deaf/hard of hearing, deafblind siblings) are welcome to socialize and play some fun games and crafts. After the presentation families are encouraged to enjoy supervised activities including making s'mores at the campfire, yard games, hammocks and more.
Please arrive promptly at 3 p.m. so parents and children can enjoy the full experience and interact.
If we don't have enough families registered, we may have to cancelled a week before the event. You will received an email from Anne-Michelle Pedersen.
