Trial By Peers Volunteer Interest
Please fill out the following form to receive more information about volunteering with Trial by Peers
What is Trial By Peers?
Trial By Peers is an innovative diversion program used as an alternative for first time
offenders. The program allows juveniles charged with minor misdemeanors to be
tried, represented, and sentenced by their peers; other teens.
How can you help?
TBP needs trained student volunteers (called peer
counselors) to prosecute and defend juvenile
offenders in court. Since these are actual court cases,
peer counselors must attend a summer training course
taught by local judges and attorneys.
