SAOP Art Walk Registration
The Survivor Advocacy Outreach Program (SAOP) is the only confidential rape crisis center serving Athens, Gallia, Hocking, Meigs, Morgan, Perry, and Vinton counties of Southeastern Ohio. Our organization serves survivors of sexual violence, intimate partner violence, and stalking. SAOP invites artists to submit or donate their work for participation in our first annual Art Walk, a community event to raise awareness and honor survivorship. The Art Walk will consist of a Youth Competitive Art Show and a Non-Competitive Art Show for All Ages.

Artwork in any media or genre can be submitted, including but not limited to visual, performance, installation, multimedia, jewelry, zine, sculpture, or textile arts. While we do wish to promote the work of survivors in our community, you do not have to identify as a survivor of violence to participate. However, we do ask that your art support this year’s theme: Growth & Resiliency.

Please fill out this form by Friday, March 16, 2018. All artwork must arrive ready for display (ex: framed with appropriate hanging hardware) at 77 East State Street by Friday, March 30, 2018. The event will be taking place on April 22, 2018 in Athens, Ohio. Further details regarding the event will be released at a later date.

If you have any questions, or if you are interested in submitting more than three pieces of artwork, please email Our staff will contact you to confirm your registration and coordinate the submission of your work.
