Greenfield is rolling out a new recycling program in 2025! We are switching to automated single stream recycling collection. In our new program, all recyclables, including cardboard, will go into one large cart—no more sorting! These new carts are on wheels and super easy to push to the curb on recycling days. All households currently on curbside collection routes will receive one, 95 gallon cart on wheels. Each 95 gallon cart equals around 5 of our current recycling bins! Recycling collection will still be done every other week.

Our DPW team believes that based on the volume of materials generated at most households in Greenfield, a 95 gallon cart will best meet the needs of most families. All addresses will be given a 95 gallon cart that includes multi family homes. Each will be getting a 95 gallon cart unless a smaller 65 gallon is requested.

We will be ordering a limited number of 65 gallon carts for smaller households. To request a 65 gallon cart or an additional cart please fill out the form below. For more information about our new recycling program visit our website for resources and dates for our public engagement events.
