The last week of January 2026 is the National Make Polluters Pay Week of Action! Communities across the country will be taking bold actions this week to make polluters pay. We're kicking off the week of action with a Central Coast Potluck with a Purpose to build our power and get motivated for another year of action!
Potlucks with a Purpose create space to connect with others, reflect on local challenges, and organize for real solutions to Make Polluters Pay.
Join climate activists, community members, and elected officials from across Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties for an afternoon of food, community, and organizing! Come learn about the Make Polluters Pay Climate Superfund Act, what it could mean for our community, and how to get involved in supporting it. This potluck will be centered around a letter writing activity and an art build, so come prepared to write about why polluter accountability matters to you!
Sunday, January 25th from 11:00 am-3:00 pm at El Carro Park (5300 El Carro Ln Carpinteria, CA 93013)
We will be outside at a park, so please ensure you bring water and dress accordingly! There should be plenty of parking available at the park, but we encourage carpooling if possible. Reach out to Brooke or Lauren if you need any assistance upon arrival!
Please RSVP by Friday, January 23rd at noon 12:00 pm.
