Israel trip coordinators work with Chabad @ USC staff to reach the largest amount of interested students and to get them registered for incredible trips to Israel, including Mayanot Birthright, IsraeLinks, etc.
(Note: There are two types of opportunities.
a - BIRTHRIGHT RECRUITER - Eligible students can sign up with Mayanot to be a Birthright recruiter at
www.mayanotisrael.com/recruit. Recruiters who have at least 15 of their recruits offered a spot on a Mayanot Birthright trip are given the opportunity to travel to Israel as Mayanot Birthright student staff members. While we cannot guarantee you a spot on the USC bus (it will be awarded to the recruiter with the most students participating on our bus), Mayanot will guarantee you a spot on one of their trips. Staff members must be 21 or older at the time of the trip.
b - ISRAEL TRIPS COORDINATOR This position is for coordinators to oversee Israel trip promotion and recruitment. There is no age requirement. Eligible coordinators may choose to be a Birthright recruiter at the same time....)
Positions Available: 2
Stipend: $250 per semester
Responsibilities:
* Organizing and promoting at least 2 Birthright / Israel trip recruiting events
* Recruit at least 15 applicants for our Mayanot Birthright trip and at least 2 applicants for the IsraeLinks Experience
* Table at Involvement Fair to promote Birthright and IsraeLinks
* Social Media Birthright / IsraeLinks promotion
* Deliveries / announcements at Greek houses about Birthright
* Attend monthly meetings with Chabad House staff and student leaders
* Promotion of Israel trips at events
* Promote, attend, and speak at Falafel Fiesta, Israel Shabbat, etc.
* Follow up with students who have expressed interest in Birthright and/or IsraeLinks
* Follow up with Birthright / IsraeLinks applicants to help them complete the registration process
