California AB 1921 Support and Comments
This form is centered around California Assembly Bill 1921, the Protect Our Games Act. The purpose of this bill is provide consumer protections when purchasing a digital game, ensuring that access to the game cannot be simply revoked from paying consumers with no adequate notice or recourse.

AB 1921 would require the following from any game developer/publisher sunsetting games only accessible via their hosted services:
1. Give 60 days notice of the termination of the game's services to the public
2. At the end of the 60 days notice, provide one of three things to their customers:
   A. A new version of the game that can be used/operated independent of their hosted services
   B. A patch or update to the existing game that allows it to be used/operated independent of their hosted services
   C. A refund for the purchase price of the game
3. After the 60 days notice, no longer sell/distribute any non-functional version of the game
