Thank you for taking the time to fill out the Tennessee Valley Robotics Grant Application for your school to participate in the RCX, Robo Challenge Xtreme Program.  This is for schools in Kentucky and select Tennessee areas.  Customers of the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) are eligible to apply for this grant. Also customers of other utilities and cooperatives which receive their power from the TVA are eligible.  For example West Kentucky RECC, or Warren RECC.  Applications will be accepted throughout the 2024-2025 year, with funds awarded as long as funds are available.

This grant is provided to schools through a partnership between the Tennessee Valley Robotics group and the Robotics Education Assistance Program.

Schools providing robotics programs for students in grades K-12 are welcome to apply.  Your school may be private, public or home school.  Your school must participate in the RCX Program.

The school, or a parent, must be a customer of the TVA, or a customer of a utility or cooperative which receives power from the TVA, to be eligible to be awarded funds.

Your school could be eligible to receive up to a maximum of $300.  If your school is awarded a grant, funds will be paid directly to the RCX Program on your behalf, for which your school will receive a credit of a maximum of $300 on your invoice.

Funds from this grant can only be used to purchase supplies for the RCX Program's Annual Challenge expenses.  These items include:

                            1 Annual Challenge Challenge Set
                            1 Team Registration
                            Shipping and Handling Charges

Should the invoice you submit from the RCX Program exceed the $300 amount, or if the items outlined on the invoice are not listed above, or the quantities outlined on the invoice exceed the quantities above, your school will be responsible to pay for the excess amount.
