Meal Sharing & Reflection - Catholic Jewish Relationships
Thank you for your interest in expanding Catholic Jewish Relationships in our Milwaukee community. The vision of families sharing holiday meals together was formed through the partnership of Tikkun Ha-Ir and the Family of Four Catholic Parishes for their "Lenten Journey to the Holy Land." We would be delighted if Jewish families would be willing to welcome their Catholic brothers and sisters, as guests, to their Seder table. Similarly, we would be delighted if Catholic families would be willing to welcome their Jewish brothers and sisters, as guests, to their Easter table. All meal times will be arranged by the host families.

We realize that for a variety of reasons, including the needs of extended families, the personal expression of religious values, and travel plans that all families may not be able to share TWO meals together. That is why you will find a variety of options below. Also, due to some extra dietary restrictions during Passover, which overlaps with Easter, you may also consider gathering together for a second meal after Passover. Should you decide to host on Easter, please be sure to have alternatives to pork and shellfish, should you desire to serve them. Please sign up for whatever is comfortable for you and your family!

Regardless of whether you host (or attend as a guest) one or two shared meals, we would request that ALL families please make a commitment to join together for an Evening of Reflection to be held on Wednesday, April 29th from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. The location of the evening of reflection is TBD. Light snacks will be provided (dessert).

All expressions of family are welcome to participate (couples, singles, families with children, etc.). We will do our best to match families with similar age ranges. This is our first attempt at partnering families in this way, so space may be limited. We will do our very best to partner all interested families!

You will find questions below that will help us to "match" families interested in sharing meals. If you have questions, please email Laura Hancock at or Sami Stein Avner at THANK YOU!
