MAYS annual concerto competition will take place November 21, 2021 (deadline to submit pieces is October 10), and is available to any MAYS student ready to perform a concerto. This season's competition will require sending a virtual recording of your piece. Please note the guidelines below and contact us with any questions!

Concerto Competition Guidelines:
• Members of the MAYS will perform their concerto with their own piano accompanist (MAYS does not provide piano accompanists but can help you find one).
• Your concerto must be memorized to be considered a candidate for concerto competition. However, students may perform with printed music simply for the experience of performing and receiving feedback from the judges.
• All pieces must be approved in order to be performed.
• The Concerto Competition will be judged by an independent panel of judges, and students will be scored.
