2020 Proposal Form: NSLA 47th Annual Conference

Conference Dates: February 20-21, 2020

Location of Conference - Kearney, Nebraska; Younes Conference Center

Proposals are being accepted for Thursday Presentations - February 20, 2020 (**note that this is a change from years past**)

Multiple proposals may be submitted by the same presenter.

Program General Information Guidelines

Proposals must be received by Sunday, September 1, 2019 Criteria used for reviewing proposals include:
1) Relevance of topic
2) Quality and clarity of the proposal
3) Implications or applications for needs and interests of the audience
4) Organization and clear method of presentation
5) Priority will be given to topics focusing on Equity (EL, Special Education, rural, poverty), MS/HS Literacy, SEL, and early childhood.

The person submitting each proposal will be notified of the committee's decision via e-mail.

As a professional, nonprofit organization, the Nebraska State Literacy Association cannot reimburse program participants for travel, hotel or copying expenses. If a proposal is accepted for presentation on Thursday, the lead presenter will only need to pay half price registration for Thursday.

Program Formats

The program is composed of individual sessions and workshops:
* An individual session runs for 60 minutes and is designed to provide an overview of a given topic.
* A workshop lasts 90 minutes and uses an interactive format and audience participation.
