Halifax Board of Police Commissioners Defunding Committee Public Engagement Sign-Up Sheet
In September 2020, the Halifax Board of Police Commissioners appointed Professor El Jones to chair an independent committee that would prepare a report outlining a roadmap for "defunding the police" in the HRM. For this purpose, the committee is leading a variety of public engagement processes.
