Farmers that support the Green New Deal
The Green New Deal (GND) resolution is a broad plan, introduced simultaneously in the House and Senate, to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. But it’s also so much more! Among many other goals, the GND aims to revitalize rural economies, and guarantee everyone access to clean air, clean water and healthy food.

The GND recognizes that agriculture done right provides a low-tech solution for reducing pollution and for drawing down greenhouse gases from the atmosphere and storing carbon in healthy soils.

The GND resolution lays out a plan for the transition from greenhouse gas-polluting industrial agriculture to carbon-sequestering regenerative organic agriculture. Whether it is ultimately successful is up to us. The GND is nothing without a social movement to give it power and direction.

And that is why, as a farmer, I am signing below to support the Green New Deal.
