Dual SS/Worship Congregational Feedback Survey
“Foundations for the Future” has invited us to consider the building blocks of God’s future for our church and has been the theme for our Dual Sunday School/Worship experience of the past few years. This has been designed to fulfill the larger scope of “Beyond the Walls” which is a vision and divine calling that continues to be the heartbeat of our church as it invites us to focus on the growing community all around us. God has blessed WFBC with continued growth, as we have been faithful to this vision of ministry “Beyond the Walls.” Several years ago, our church came face to face with the very real challenge of limited worship space and an inadequate number of Sunday School rooms. It became obvious that for our church to continue to grow these two challenges called for a response. As a result, the church embarked on a two-year listening period (Foundations for the Future) that invited all our members to discern and share in how we could best achieve a new strategy for growth that would allow us to continue God’s vision for our church. At every step the primary issue, then and now, is what furthers the mission of the church to the fullest. The result of these several years of listening to each other and to God was the implementation of Dual Sunday School/Worship in September 2016. This has met the twin goals of allowing space for growth in worship and providing enough Sunday school classrooms for our Adult Sunday School ministry. Now that we are entering a new chapter with the adoption of our Long Range Goals, (His Vision Our Mission) the church continues to discern how we can embrace our future. In that spirit we must ask, how can we apply what we have learned from the past to where we are now, especially as we move into the future and continue to live out His Vision Our Mission? Most of all, as we evaluate Dual Sunday School/Worship how can you build on the “Foundations for the Future” to help our church do even more to be true to God’s leading so that we continue to be pulled and challenged to live into God’s new day?
