The Ligon GT Chorus performances are a direct reflection of the work we do in class each day. When there is a performance, students are meeting many of the NC Essential Standards for Music Education. As a result, performances are mandatory and graded. *
If a singer has an excused absence from a performance, it must be approved prior to the performance in writing, preferably through email.  Please make Mrs. Castellano aware of any illness before the concert when able. An alternative assignment will be given to make-up the missing grade of the performance. If a singer misses a performance without prior notification, the singer will receive a 0. *
The Ligon Arts Boosters are an essential part of the Ligon GT Chorus program. This group will advocate for the arts at Ligon and provide additional funding to the teachers and the school. To become a member, go to the Ligon Arts Boosters page and choose donate: http://ligonartsboosters.com/donate/ *
Are you familiar with Talking Points and able to receive those messages via text or through the Talking Points Parent App? *
There are a number of outside opportunities for singers to be involved in at the local, state and national level. Please indicate below if your singer would like to audition for State Honors Chorus, ACDA Southern Region Honor Choir, All-State Chorus, All-County Chorus, NCACDA Middlefest!, or NC Sings.  These opportunities require additional rehearsal time, independent practice and in some cases a parent chaperone with travel and hotel expenses. For more information about these opportunities, see the chorus handbook and website.  *
