Uncovering Bias: Exploring Implicit and Explicit Bias
This interactive session explores the concept of implicit or unconscious bias – what it is, where it comes from, and how, despite our best intentions, it’s not a question of if we have implicit biases – but what implicit biases do we have? Session concludes with an exploration of how to combat these biases with awareness and skills. Presented by Dr. Kyle Oldham from CSU's Housing and Dining.

Mentorship I: Building Successful Mentor-Mentee Relationships
Talk description: In this workshop, we will discuss the importance of effective mentor-mentee relationships, various mentoring frameworks, and some strategies for establishing and maintaining mentor networks. Presented by Kim Cox-York. Kimberly Cox-York, PhD coordinates the Responsible Conduct of Research program at CSU, is faculty in the department of Food Science and Human Nutrition and a member of the Graduate Center for Inclusive Mentoring (GCIM) Executive Council. She mentors graduate students and postdocs and conducts mentor training workshops in many departments across campus.

Join Conflict Resolution Services from the Student Resolution Center to explore more about effective strategies to engage in interpersonal conflict. An interactive workshop focused on navigating the often-difficult process of balancing work and non-work demands.
