Deconstructing Job Announcements
Thursday February 13th, 2020
11:30 AM - 1:30 PM
6201 Microbial Sciences Building

The search process for jobs outside of academia is not the same as for faculty positions. Job postings can be cryptic and vague, and if you limit your search to answering public announcements you are unlikely to get an interview.

This workshop will teach you how to read job postings and understand what employers really want. You will also learn why sending "cold" applications should be just one small part of your job search.
