We hosted Hackaday Belgrade for the first time in 2016 to an enthusiastic, sold-out hall. We had such a nice time and the talks/ workshops were so informative and popular, we are very excited to be doing it again.
Hackaday Belgrade is a one day conference on Saturday, May 26th in Belgrade, Serbia. Talks and workshops will cover similar areas as in 2016 (hardware, engineering, creativity in technical design, product design, prototyping, etc).
This call for proposals is for talks and hands-on workshops. Talks should range between 10 and 30 minutes. Workshops should range between 1 hour and 4 hours. Materials stipends are available.
What is a good topic to propose? We like topics that revolve around creating something: lessons learned from things you built or techniques you can teach to others (based upon the things you built). The overarching theme of all talks/workshops should be about CREATING something.
Here are some example topics from our recent conferences:
1. Bradley Gawthrop- Wiring Boot Camp (http://bit.ly/2rgf8jJ)2. Voja Antonic - Designing the Conference Badge (http://bit.ly/2mGkM9l)3. Phoenix Perry - The Larger Social Goal of Our Technology Movement (http://bit.ly/2DIbAcG)4. Kari Love - Soft Robotics for Space Exploration (http://buff.ly/2qRlL7x)
We are excited to read your proposals and to have you join us! Please get your proposal(s) in by Sunday, 17:00 local time (Belgrade) March 4th. We'll be letting you know if yours was accepted shortly thereafter.
*Travel /accommodation stipends may be available for some proposals, so if you are far away please apply.
