Gallery Series Ideas
The Yoknapatawpha Arts Council organizes monthly gallery exhibits inside the Powerhouse and for venues in the community (City Grocery, Shelter). The shows are organized based on input, inspiration and ideas from local artists and Oxonians.

YAC is here to serve YOU! Please help create the 2017 series by sharing your themes, ideas, projects that you think would make interesting exhibits or create opportunities for local artists.

You can also email your thoughts to Meghan Gallagher at OutreachYAC@gmail.com. Your collaboration enables YAC to put on a show that reflects the unique voices in our Lafayette County, Oxford, and University communities!

If you've never attended an Arts Incubator Workshop, what would attract you to attend one?
Arts Incubator CSA Program
This is a NEW component to the Arts Incubator and Gallery Series this year. Five CSA artists will be chosen to pre-sell shares of artwork, just as the community-supported agriculture model works for local farmers. There will be an opening reception to help generate buzz about the pre-sold shares in the fall and a capstone exhibit in July. Participating artists will be required to attend Arts Incubator training sessions. Please answer the following questions if you would like to be considered for this new program.  This program is funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts and Mississippi Arts Commission.
Would you like to be considered as a candidate for the CSA program?
Artists who like to be considered for the program will apply through the 2017 Gallery Series Application that we will send out in the next few weeks.
What would be your model for pre-selling art?
For example, a watercolor painter may create several large works and have CSA shares that are prints of these pieces.
