TAND 2020 Annual Conference Speaker Proposal Submission Form
The Tennessee Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics 2020 Annual Conference Planning Committee is now accepting speaker proposals. Deadline for submission is September 30, 2019. Applicants will be notified by November 15th of the committee decision.
The TAND 2020 Annual Conference will be April 3, 2020 at the Doubletree Hotel in downtown Chattanooga, TN.
This conference will bring together 200-250 food and nutrition professionals. Accepted presentations will reflect science-based research and practical applications for nutrition professionals. Speaker proposals will be reviewed and applicants will be notified by late October. Please note, all selected speakers will need to comply with our disclosure and commercialism policies.

This description will be used for TAND marketing purposes.
A brief content outline to help fulfill its CEU accreditation requirements. This outline will ensure that we identify major ideas and concepts that will be presented and aid in organizing your abstract in a logical form.
A content outline should include the number of minutes spent on each concept/idea, including pharmacology topics.
If there are multiple speakers, please indicate who is covering which segment.
We strongly suggest that you create the content outline in a Word document, check for grammar (spelling, punctuation), before cutting & pasting into the field provided.

I/We understand that speaker substitutions may not be made after the abstract review process has been completed. Individuals employed by a commercial interest are not permitted to present, unless the topic is unrelated to their products or services.
Commercial Relationships – A commercial interest is defined as any entity producing, marketing, reselling, or distributing healthcare goods or services consumed by or used on patients, or an entity that is owned or controlled by an entity that produces, markets, resells, or distributes healthcare goods or services consumed by or used on patients. Providers of clinical service directly to patients are not ‘commercial interests.’ Use of commercial interest supplied slides or handouts is not allowed.
I/We understand that the information provided in the abstract will be used in the TAND Annual Conference publications, such as the Registration Brochure, Onsite Meeting Guide, and other marketing materials.
I/We understand that TAND reserves the right to change session titles, descriptions, learning objectives, etc. for use in promotional materials.
I/We agree and understand that making travel arrangements and lodging accommodations are my/our own responsibility (unless notified otherwise).
I/We will submit the PowerPoint slides by March 5, 2020.
TAND has agreed to provide: computer, LCD projector, screen, microphone(s) in session room.
In consideration of the furtherance of the purposes, objectives and work of TAND, I do hereby grant permission to use my name in connection with my presentation. TAND has the right to distribute said presentation in PDF format to attendees as an educational resource. I understand that this in no way prohibits my use of these materials in any manner.
