This new Female Coaching Network has been formed to connect, develop, and grow the women’s coaching workforce across Gloucestershire. Female participation in sport and physical activity is falling along with a growing inequality in the number of female coaches, instructors, and leaders. We know that a woman's experience of sport and activity will determine their attitudes and future habits and behaviours towards leading an active lifestyle. Therefore, as a female coach, you are our front line in tackling female inactivity and can provide a lasting experience to the women and girls of Gloucestershire. Our first Female Coaching Network event is being held at University of Gloucestershire, and is open to all female instructors, coaches and leaders who live and/or deliver activity in Gloucestershire – whether you are completely new to coaching or work with talented athletes. Throughout the event you will have the opportunity to meet and network with other coaches, find out about local opportunities, get involved with local initiatives and learn more about engaging women and girls within your sessions.
