The Barbados Youth Development Council (BYDC) is a non-governmental organization which serves as the umbrella body for all youth organizations across Barbados and the collective voice for all Barbadian youth.
The council seeks to be “a dynamic organization, which advocates for, addresses the needs of and facilitates the development of all young people”.
Our motto is “Building our Youth, Developing our Country” is the guiding principle of the Barbados Youth Development Council, as we strive to achieve our vision of a Barbados with a youth population which is equipped with all the skills needed to propel Barbados into the future and with a healthy and engaged youth population.
The Council aims to continuously empower and encourage youth and youth organizations across Barbados to work as a collective to achieve a goal of cultivating a strong, dynamic and innovative youth population.
