We are happy that you are considering being a part of #SCBL2023. If selected as a Featured Signing Author (FSA) at this event, you are given special prominence and publicity throughout the planning and during the actual event.
We are still in the planning stages of our 2023 event. However, as a FSA, you can plan to connect with your current and new to you readers during the activities scheduled and of course, on Saturday, at the book signing. There are other opportunities for getting your name in front of readers by being a part of the BOOKnique Adventures, Book Nook, Tropes & Sips w/Readers, a Reader/Author luncheon, and other special activities. We also have an opportunity for you to learn or get a refresher by attending our Buzz Sessions that gear towards the novice and experienced writer. More information to come on the agenda and what will be discussed during the sessions.
Process for selection: Once our current year event has ended, we offer the current attending authors the opportunity to come back again for the next year. After obtaining that interest, we then know how many new openings that we have to offer to new incoming authors. We review and vet all authors that complete the interest form. If selected, you will be sent an invitation email noting we would like to invite you to the event and share the details on how to claim the spot being offered to you. These are normally time sensitive emails and require a non-refundable deposit of $50 be paid by a certain date to secure your table. To be courteous of your planning, the invites will not begin until Sunday, August 7, 2022.
Notes & Disclaimers:
-All authors are expected to promote the event on their social media, newsletter, Facebook reader group, etc. Graphics will be furnished for you to use for promoting.
-All authors selling books must be listed as an attending author. No table sharing with authors that are not listed as a featured attending author. Please contact us with any questions that you may have on this topic.
-Space Coast Book Lovers exert every effort to make this event a safe and drama free environment. We reserve the right to remove anyone from the event who has purchased a table/ticket, at any time, based on damaging circumstances or drama related incidents involving the person that may impact the reputation of the event.
-The goal of Space Coast Book Lovers is to bring authors and readers together for the love of books. Everything about our event is to enhance that experience, whether it be you meeting industry people to help you promote your books or an activity that gives you an in person one-on-one time with readers, it should be about reading, writing, books. With that being said, we want to stress that the author tables inside the actual book signing are to be geared towards that. This does not mean that you cannot put out business cards/flyers/brochures for your other business, within reason; however, the product itself should not be displayed on your table.
Things that are acceptable, within moderation:
~Business cards or sample artwork for your graphic designer.
~Business cards or sample swag work for your swag person.
~Business cards promoting your personal or favorite blogger or editor.
It is no longer acceptable to sell anything other than books at your table in the signing room. It is recommended that you purchase a vendor table for anything other than books to sell. NO EXCEPTIONS!
