SNAP Restaurant Meals Program (RMP)
RI DHS is exploring an expansion of a SNAP Restaurant Meals Program (RMP) via a waiver that would allow RI to:
(1) expand access to RMP to all SNAP households (currently it is limited to those households where everyone is elderly, disabled, or homeless)
(2) allow restaurants to accept SNAP benefits for drive-thru, take-out, and curbside to-go orders
(3) approve new restaurants for inclusion in the RMP without having to provide the justification of need
RIFPC is assisting by compiling a list of restaurants that are interested in participating if a waiver is approved. Once this list is compiled:
(1) RIFPC will provide contact information to DHS
(2) DHS will contact restaurants to start developing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) so they are prepared to move fast once the waiver is approved (DHS is doing their best to limit administrative burden on restaurants that want to participate)
Please add your information below to add your restaurant to the list. This information will only be used for the purposes outlined above.
