Manitoba Libraries Conference 2020: Session Proposal Form
DEADLINE FOR PROPOSALS: December 20, 2019.
The Manitoba Libraries Conference 2020 will take place April 6th and 7th at the Delta Winnipeg Hotel.
The Program Committee seeks proposals for sessions showcasing your ideas, research, and library initiatives. Proposals are being accepted for 50 minute sessions and 10 minute lightening talks. Lightening Talk proposals should fit into a broad theme of advocacy, programming and/or partnerships.
Proposals that appeal to the cross-section of attendees are encouraged; however, all proposals will be reviewed and considered by the Program Committee.
The deadline for submissions is December 20, 2019. You will receive a response on or before January 10, 2020.
Speakers will receive a discount on conference attendance as well as a thank you gift to show our appreciation for their participation and willingness to give back to the library community.

Session Abstract (Maximum 250 words)
Why do you think this session is relevant and how you think delegates will benefit from attending it?
Each room will be equipped with a microphone, laptop, projector, screen, and speakers. We will try to accommodate all requests, but cannot guarantee audio-visual, or other technical equipment. If we are able to fulfill your request, we will let you know when we respond to your submission. Speakers are welcome to bring their own laptop. Adaptors will be available, but we also recommend you bring your own adaptor if possible.
Do you have any special accommodations related to attending our conference and presenting? “Please note that speakers will be able to indicate additional needs pertaining to general conference attendance when they register to attend the conference (ex: dietary needs).”
The Manitoba Libraries Conference is hosted by The Manitoba Library Association, a non-profit provincial association. While we have limited funding we recognize the barriers that some individuals face in presenting at Conference. Please use this section to indicate if there is assistance we can provide, financial or other, that would allow you to attend as a speaker.
