Summertime Celebration: Visual Media Submission Form
The Absurd Collective, in collaboration with Latitude 53, is looking for young artists aged 13-24 to work alongside with, and display art in a gallery show to run for two weeks in August. Selected artists will receive a micro-grant to help fund their project, as well as free gallery space and the opportunity to meet and work with other young artists.

The theme of the show is Summer in Edmonton. While the theme is fairly open ended, when thinking about your project, think about how it relates to your summer and summer in Edmonton more generally. The goal is for selected projects to be a representation of your experience of the summer, and should be worked on throughout the summer, with the final project being a personal reflection of that experience. What does summer in Edmonton mean to you? What does it look like? Is there anything that you feel should be said about it? Feel free to interpret and go as in depth as you want, as long as it fits generally within the theme.

Submissions deadline has been extended to June 16th, 2017. The show is scheduled to run from August 8th to the 19th in 2017.

What is the estimated cost of you project? There is no maximum or minimum amount, although around $100 is our suggested amount, so that we can include as many artists as possible.
