One Seed, One Community: Great, Great Aunt Rosie's Italian Pole Beans
This delicious pole bean has been grown in the Bay Area for generations by an Italian family. Yummy as a green bean when young or let it mature and shell to make delicious soups or bean salads. Join us for our One Seed One Community Program where we all grow this amazing bean together. Share your journey with us on social media on Instagram @RichmondGrows. We'll be sharing photos, recipes, and growing tips as well as how to save the seeds. Help us preserve this local heirloom!
I live in the Bay Area in .... (NOTE: This is a local seed saving project for San Francisco Bay Area residents. People need to pick up seeds. We are NOT shipping them.)
Other Bay Area city
No previous seed saving experience required, but we're curious:
I am new to seed saving.
I let some things go to seed in my garden, but don't do any other seed saving.
I have saved seeds before but just a few things.
I know how to hand-pollinate squash.
How do I get Great, Great Aunt Rosie's Italian Pole Beans?
I picked them up from a seed library.
I will come to the Richmond Grows Little FREE Seed Library at 624 31st (cross street Roosevelt & Clinton). Open 7 days a week.
