Summer Parent and Child
SUMMER PARENT and CHILD
AT BRIDGES MONTESSORI
An excellent opportunity to introduce you and your child to his/her new classroom!

An optional Parent and Child class will be held Tuesday, August 20th through Thursday, August 22nd, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. for students who are new and will be 2 years old at the start of school. The purpose of this program is to introduce the new student to the classroom and the teachers, affirm the parent’s interest and support of the program to the child and begin the separation process.

On Tuesday, August 20th, we will have a little snack and play outside—simply getting to know each other and allowing time for the children to adjust to the school itself. On Wednesday, August 21st, and Thursday, August 22nd, parents and children will be taken into the classrooms for a circle time and a brief “work period”. During this time, as the child becomes comfortable and develops trust in the teachers, the parent should try to take every opportunity to quietly back away and watch, rather than participate in the child’s activities.

We hope you will be able to attend, and we are looking forward to getting to know all of our new students and their parents. This will not only help the new students become acclimated, but also provide the new parents an opportunity for questions and to gain an understanding of the Montessori classroom. It will be a lot of fun!!!

Cost: $45.00 per child
