CALL FOR ARTISTS: Professional and amateur artists are welcome to add some color to the street by creating chalk art mandalas during the 12th Annual Mississippi Earthtones Festival on Sat, Sept 15th 2018.

ELIGIBILITY: Anyone can sign up! The deadline to register is Mon, Sept 10th, or when the 8 spots have been filled - first come first served. Participants must arrive at the festival grounds by 11:30 and check-in at the mandala art booth to be assigned their space. Artists will create their piece of street art on-site starting at Noon and finishing by approximately 3pm, or earlier depending on the complexity of your design.

LOGISTICS: PROFESSIONAL GRADE CHALK SUPPLIES WILL BE PROVIDED BY THE FESTIVAL ORGANIZERS - ARTISTS WILL ALSO RECEIVE A FREE FESTIVAL T-SHIRT!

You will have a designated space of 10'x10' maximum, although the size of your creation will be left up to you. You are welcome to bring a tent/umbrella and sunscreen if you are concerned about heat or sun exposure. The mandala area will be on Broadway between George Street & Langdon Street

Minors are encouraged to participate, although your parent or guardian must complete this registration form & and be present at all times during the event.

FESTIVAL INFORMATION: The Mississippi Earthtones Festival, co-organized by Alton Main Street and the Sierra Club, is a celebration of our rivers through art, music, and conservation. Our 12th annual event promises to attract thousands of people to Broadway, where the street will be closed to traffic from Noon to 10pm.
