Digital Media Technology creatives at Summit Technology Academy frequently engage in real-world client projects as part of their career-focused coursework. These experiences help students build professional portfolios and develop durable skills in collaboration, communication, and creative problem-solving.

We regularly partner with clients both inside and outside of the LSR-7 School District. Projects include a nominal project fee. 

In some cases, student-generated projects or requests that directly support student learning outcomes may be completed without a fee. Internal district clients (e.g., LSR-7 theatre or academic programs) may qualify for no-cost support, depending on scope, timing, and how well the request aligns with existing classroom structure and student availability. Each request is evaluated individually, and we encourage all clients to share their intended project budget or anticipated support range below.

What is the budget range for this project? *

Projects requested by individuals or organizations outside of the LSR-7 School District will have a nominal fee, typically ranging from $25–$250 depending on the complexity and scope of work. These funds help offset production costs, introduce students to real-world processes like estimates, contracts, and invoicing, and support enhancements to the program—such as upgrades to lab spaces, replenishment of consumable media, and other student-centered learning experiences that go beyond what traditional curricular budgets typically cover.

Requests from LSR-7 staff or district-sponsored programs (e.g., theatre, music, other departments) may be supported without charge, depending on timing, student availability, and curricular alignment.

Additionally, projects that originate from DMT creatives currently enrolled in the program for the purpose of developing market-value assets may be completed at no cost, even if an outside client is involved.

In short, all projects will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis with student learning as the primary goal.
