CHT Film Campaign Screenings Planner Job Application
About the Center for Humane Technology
The Center for Humane Technology (CHT) is an independent 501c3 nonprofit organization based in San Francisco whose mission is to realign technology with our humanity. Our work expands beyond tech addiction to the broader threats that AI-driven persuasive technology poses to our well-being and our shared information environment, which are critical to our democracies and our capacity to tackle complex global challenges.

We raise awareness and drive change through high-profile presentations to global leaders, briefing sessions and public testimony to policymakers and heads of state, and mass media campaigns reaching millions, including recent coverage in CBS This Morning, Wall Street Journal, The Times UK, New York Times, Associated Press. We also mobilize technologists as advocates and collaborate with top tech leaders through workshops and closed door convenings.

Now entering our second year, we have built a world-class team of ~30 staff, contractors, board members, and advisors composed of deeply concerned former tech insiders, domain experts, and cross-disciplinary social impact leaders who understand the culture, incentives, design techniques, and organizational structures driving the tech industry.

CHT’s ultimate aim is to drive a comprehensive shift toward humane technology by changing the way technologists think about their work and how they build products.
