PALS Adventures Sign-Up: September 21st NYC Buddy Walk
Thanks for your interest in joining us for the upcoming PALS Adventure in New York City! Here's the plan:

Who: All Camp PALS campers and counselors are welcome!

What: The Flagship Buddy Walk® kicks off in Times Square where people from all over the world gather to watch the annual NDSS Times Square Video. During the Opening Ceremony, NDSS Ambassadors, Chris Wragge (CBS2 News) and Chris Burke, will salute the amazing event participants. They will be joined on stage by a Self-Advocate Buddy Walk® Ambassador, the winner of the Dan Piper Award. After a one mile, non-competitive walk in Central Park, live musical entertainment and a dance party will take place on the stage while other activities for people of all ages and abilities will continue until 3:00 pm.

When: On Saturday September 21st, 2013 families attending the event are encouraged to spend the day with us between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm.

Where: The actual Buddy Walk® and celebratory events surrounding the Walk take place on The Great Hill in Central Park (at 106th Street and Central Park West). The exact meeting location will be sent out by the PALS Adventure Leader, Kyle Stolarz.

Why: The Buddy Walk will be a great opportunity to advocate for support of NDSS programs and reunite with PALS friends!

Cost: You must register as an adult participant if you are over the age of 13 and plan to attend the Buddy Walk (this includes participants walking alone, with a family or on a team). **NOTE** Each individual registered by Friday, August 30, 2013 will be guaranteed a Buddy Walk t-shirt in their size. T-shirts will be available in limited quantities for onsite registration.

*If cost is prohibiting you or your child from attending this event, please contact Laura (adventures@palsprograms.org) asap!*

To maintain the one-to-one pairing so essential to our PALS Programs, we will have limited spots available for this PALS Adventure.

You will receive final confirmation of your reserved spot (and additional details about the Adventure) from the Regional Leader for this PALS Adventure, Kyle Stolarz. Please contact him via e-mail (kyle.stolarz@gmail.com) with any questions or concerns regarding this upcoming program. Can't wait to see you there!
