PTA Advocacy Spotlight Application
Thank you for your interest in providing a PTA Spotlight presentation at National PTA’s Legislative Conference, March 10-12, 2020 in Alexandria, Virginia. Please read the following information carefully before submitting your application.

This application is open to any PTA member at any level affiliated with a unit in good standing. Applications must be received by 11:59 pm ET on Tuesday, November 12, 2019. Applications must be started and completed in one session. There is no save functionality.

Presentations should focus on how your PTA addressed an issue included in National PTA’s Public Policy Agenda and include strategies that other PTAs could emulate.

Presentations should be 40 minutes long, including time for Q and A. Audio-visual support, including computer, microphone and projector, will be available. No Internet connection will be provided. Presenters should expect approximately 75 people in the audience.

All applications will be reviewed by the National PTA Legislation Committee and Government Affairs Staff. National PTA may provide feedback on your submission to improve the delivery for our attendees’ needs, or we may combine your submission with another presentation submission to create one workshop.

To view the scoring rubric, visit www.PTA.org/LegCon

All applicants will receive notification of whether their submission was accepted by early December.

If selected, you will be required to submit all presentation materials to National PTA no later than February 3, 2020. PTA Spotlight presenters will be responsible for their own travel and registration costs unless they are already eligible for complimentary registration and travel from National PTA. However, PTA Spotlight presenters will be guaranteed the Early Bird registration rate.
