Which Plant Where: Urban Forest Management
The aim of this project is to identify the type of data collected in urban tree inventories in Australia.

Urban tree inventories are lists of tree species occurring within a prescribed area. In many cases individual trees are recorded with their location and attributes, along with the planting details and context. Tree inventories may form part of an asset management system, and be incorporated into spatial (GIS) systems, such that management actions and changes in status can be recorded. Potential causes of failure or reasons for removal may also be recorded. Dynamically managed urban tree inventories can be valuable in informing future planting and management decisions to enhance the function and sustainability of green cities.
