BISD is planning for full day Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) for eligible students for the 2020-2021 school year. (Access eligibility criteria here: https://tinyurl.com/bisdpkeligibility).

A limited number of seats for a tuition-based Pre K-will be available for students who do not meet the state criteria for Pre-K. Tuition will be charged at a monthly rate or can be paid by semester or for the whole school year: $249 per month/$996 per semester/$1992 per year.

An informational meeting will be held for parents on March 18, 2020, from 6:00-7:00 pm at both Hill Country Elementary and Alkek Elementary.

If you are are interested in enrolling your 4 year old in the BISD full-day Pre-K program, please take a moment to complete this short survey to help us plan ahead for staffing and programming.

I have a student who will be 4 years old on September 1, 2020 and am interested in enrolling him/her in BISD's full-day Pre-K. My child meets one of the below criteria.

is unable to speak and comprehend the English language; or

is economically disadvantaged (which means a student eligible to participate in the national free or reduced-price lunch program... guidelines can be found here: https://tinyurl.com/bisdincomeeligibility); or

is homeless, as defined by 42 U.S.C. Section 1143a, regardless of the residence of the child, of either parent of the child, or of the child's guardian or other person having lawful control of the child; or

is the child of an active duty member of the armed forces of the United States, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who is ordered to active duty by proper authority; or

is the child of a member of the armed forces of the United States, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who was injured or killed while serving on active duty; or

is or ever has been in the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services (foster care) following an adversary hearing held as provided by Section 262.201, Family Code; or

is the child of a person eligible for the Star of Texas Award as: a peace officer under Section 3106.002, Government Code; a firefighter under Section 3106.003, Government Code; or an emergency medical first responder under Section 3106.004, Government Code
