In New Mexico, you must be trained and certified as a Voter Registration Agent (VRA) in order to register voters. Getting our existing VRAs trained, making sure VRAs have supplies, and recruiting more voter registrars is key to future community-wide voter registration efforts. Ideally, everyone who knocks on doors or helps at events should be a VRA!
Trainings are a collaboration between the DPSFC and the Santa Fe County Clerk's Office. All our welcome to sign up and attend trainings. A team from the county clerk's office will facilitate the training and provide materials!
Upcoming Trainings at 1420 Cerrillos Road (DFSC Headquarters).
These dates were chosen by the County Clerk's office. Attendance in July will determine further 2025 trainings.

FAQs
Do I have to sign up?
Yes, the Santa Fe County Clerk's office needs to know how many people are in attendance to support training materials and staff. Please sign up if you are a new VRA or a current VRA.
What to bring? A valid drivers license from any state. This does not need to be a NM license.
Can I attend a training if I am already a VRA?
Yes, you can attend if you need a refresher. Please still sign up. You can also arrive 15 minutes after the scheduled start time if you are already a VRA because you will not have to do paperwork.
Where is the training?
All trainings are held at 1420 Cerrillos Road, the headquarters building of the Democratic Party of Santa Fe County. This building is located on Cerrillos Road across from Santa Fe Indian School.
Please sign up for the session you plan to attend. We need to let the County Clerk's office know in advance who's attending.
