WHAT: Leading and Learning Week is a five-day academic and professional development opportunity coordinated by TRIO Student Support Services programs with presentations and workshops facilitated by NEIU faculty, staff, students, and supporters. It is an opportunity for students, staff, faculty and community members to share knowledge that enhances student success in higher education and in life.
HOW MUCH: All workshops are FREE to attend!
WHO: All NEIU students, staff and faculty. Feel free to invite non-TRIO SSS students to register and attend. TRIO SSS students are encouraged to attend as many workshops and events as possible during this week.

Software may be used to record live workshops. Your participation in live discussions may be recorded. These recordings typically will be made available only to TRIO SSS students, to assist those who cannot attend the live session or to serve as a resource for those who would like to review content that was presented.
Students who prefer to participate via audio only will be allowed to disable their video camera so only audio will be captured. Students who prefer to listen only, must disable their audio capability and visual camera.

Assuring privacy among NEIU faculty, staff, and students engaged in online and in-person instructional activities helps promote open and robust conversations and mitigates concerns that comments made within the context of a workshop will be shared beyond the workshop. As such, recordings of instructional activities occurring in online or in-person workshops may be used solely for internal TRIO SSS D2L class purposes by the TRIO SSS staff and current TRIO SSS students.
TRIO SSS membership requires that all TRIO students attend at least ONE workshop each semester and ONE financial literacy workshop each year. To be eligible for a TRIO SSS Participation Scholarship for Spring 2024, please attend at least 2 workshops. All TRIO SSS students must successfully complete an evaluation after the workshop in order to receive credit for attendance. TRIO SSS students may also view the workshops’ recordings on D2L and complete the evaluation after watching. Attendance will be counted upon successful completion of an evaluation.
