About Rainy Dawg:
** Now accepting DJ applicants until Wednesday, Nov 30, 2022 at 11:59pm **

Rainy Dawg Radio is a non-profit radio station staffed and operated by students at the University of Washington. Though the station focuses on providing quality and diverse programming for the University community, its reach is global, so anyone, worldwide, can tune in to our live stream at www.rainydawg.org.

The station is an enterprise of the Associated Students of the University of Washington, and was founded in 2001 to create an educational outlet for students at the UW interested in the broadcast and music industries, as well as providing entertainment for UW students, staff, and faculty. We operate out of a small office and studio in the HUB in 131N.

Since its beginning, Rainy Dawg has curated a unique programming schedule, and worked hard to integrate itself into the UW and Seattle music communities. The station also sponsors a number of on-campus events—often in collaboration with other ASUW entities and enterprises—bringing national and local talent to the campus for one-of-a-kind performances.

Please contact asuwrdgm@uw.edu or asuwrdam@uw.edu with any questions or concerns.
About YOU
We are looking for passionate people with not only a love of music but the stories that come along with it. Strong music show applicants include those willing to play music that hasn't traditionally seen airtime on the radio, or have a strong grasp on geographic/genre/theme niches. RDR isn't a place to put on a playlist and coast; we expect engaging DJs who can connect to their audiences and curate intentional and thoughtful broadcasting. Strong talk show applicants have a well thought out guideline or theme with unique talking points.

Accepted DJs get a 1 hour weekly slot in our schedule to fill with music or discussion of their choice.

***Rainy Dawg is currently doing hybrid broadcasting. Due to limited HUB hours, shows will be broadcasted from the studio from 7am-11pm and remotely for the rest of the night and morning. Remote DJs will create and submit their show in an audio mix that staff will queue up on the stream.
IMPORTANT: about 90% of our currently available DJ slots are remote. Remote DJs will have the opportunity to be in-studio DJs the following quarter.

Rainy Dawg has very limited space in our schedule available for in-studio shows (we've got ~100 lovely DJs!!). Would you be interested in remote broadcasting during an overnight/early morning slot?

*Considering the very limited in-studio slots currently available, answering "no" to this question may cause the application to be denied.
