KORORĀ
KORORĀ
Every day my glossy feathers
are soaked with oil.
Every day plastic bags
chase me in the water.
Every day the nets
try to trap my feet.
2015 Banks Peninsula.
I should be hurtling
through currents of clean water.
I should be gulping down
chunks of raw hoki.
