Support sustainability by volunteering with P.E.R.R.O. at Fiesta del Sol 2025! / Sea voluntario con P.E.R.R.O. en la Fiesta del Sol 2025 para apoyar la sostenibilidad!
For the first time ever, the Pilsen Environmental Rights and Reform Organization (P.E.R.R.O.) is teaming up with Fiesta del Sol to provide sustainability efforts for vendors and attendees! P.E.R.R.O. will be sponsoring recycling and composting services to reduce food waste and promote sustainability at Fiesta del Sol, but we can’t do it alone! We need volunteers to assist with ensuring attendees and vendors are using bins properly throughout Fiesta del Sol. 

This will be a great opportunity for you to connect with community members and gain experience working in environmental justice efforts!

As compensation for your hard work, we want to offer you some goodies: one meal, a water filter, and a t-shirt! To get all of these items, you should volunteer at least 8 hours throughout the 4 day event. We will provide more information on these offerings closer to the start of Fiesta del Sol.

Por primera vez, la organizacion Pilsen Environmental Rights and Reform Organization (P.E.R.R.O.) se une a la Fiesta del Sol para apoyar esfuerzos de sostenibilidad a los vendedores y asistentes del festival. P.E.R.R.O. patrocinará servicios de reciclaje y compostaje para reducir el desperdicio de alimentos y promover la sostenibilidad en la Fiesta del Sol, ¡pero no podemos hacerlo solos! Necesitamos voluntarios que ayuden a garantizar que los asistentes y los vendedores utilicen los contenedores correctamente durante toda la Fiesta del Sol. 

Esta será una gran oportunidad para conectar con los miembros de la comunidad y ganar experiencia trabajando en los esfuerzos de justicia ambiental.

Como recompensa por tu duro trabajo, queremos ofrecerte algunos incentivos: una comida, un filtro del agua, y una camisa! Para recibir todas estas recompensas, debes ofrecer al menos 8 horas de voluntariado durante los 4 dias. Proporcionaremos más información sobre estas ofertas más cerca del inicio de la Fiesta del Sol.
