Simi Valley High School Marching Band & Color Guard Awards Night/Slide Show
Please RSVP for the event so that we can have a head count, as that helps us prepare the room for setup.
Ever year at the conclusion of the marching band season, we host an awards night/slide show for the marching band students, parents, and families of the marching band and color guard. This year's event is on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 7:00pm in the Simi Valley High School MPR, and will end around 8:30pm. Dessert and beverages will be provided (if you would like to donate a dessert please mark that on the form, and let us know what you would like to share). There is no set formal dress code for this event; however, students have dressed up, or have come in casual clothing.
Drum majors and booster president are expected to give a speech, and any seniors are able to give a speech if they wish. If you are a senior student who would like to give a speech, please indicate that on the form so we can factor that in the schedule when we are designing how the event will flow. There are 24 seniors, so the total number giving speeches will determine the maximum length we will meed to set for each person.
For the slide show, we need pictures and video clips that you have taken throughout the marching band season. Please e-mail Dan Lipman (
) or Frances Emanuel (
) with pictures, or you may put your photos in a dropbox or drive type program and share a link to the photos/videos with them. Please do not wait until the last minute to send photos as the slide show is a labor of love and takes a while to produce. It is one of the fun parts of the evening and we want to ensure every student is in it.
We hope to see you there!
