The Fowler PTA consists of 5 elected officers and 10+ appointed standing committee chairs. The PTA meet 5 times a year and have membership meetings 3 to 4 times a year. Additional meetings may be called to complete PTA business or to assist with programs or events. Please indicate the position(s) which interest you. You may select as many positions as you are interested in, but you can only be slated for 1 position.

The Fowler PTA desires a diverse group of officers and committee chairs and actively works to ensure equity and inclusiveness with leadership roles.

Elected Positions

President Duties: oversee activities of the Board, coordinate with the Principals

VP-Membership Duties: recruit members for the PTA, record/report members to Texas PTA

VP-Ways & Means (Fundraising) Duties: select/manage fundraising activities for the PTA

Secretary Duties: record minutes from any meetings of the PTA

Treasurer Duties: manage income/expense of the PTA, write checks, ensure financial compliance with PTA and IRS

Appointed positions. These positions will not be filled until after the election of the officers. You will be contacted after the election by either the President or a board member. You may select as many positions as you are interested in.

Communications/Website Duties: Manage communication with PTA members through newsletters and social media

Environmental Duties: Manage/execute environmental programs/events with district, school and PTA

Healthy Lifestyles Duties: Manage/execute healthy lifestyles programs/events with district, school and PTA

Hospitality Duties: Manage/execute hospitality events including staff meal functions and stock the pantry events

Legislative/Council Delegate Duties: Oversee/communicate legislative activities/communication from Texas PTA and the District. Attend Council Delegate Meetings as Fowler Representative

Multicultural Duties: Manage/execute multicultural programs/events with district, school and PTA

Parliamentarian: Maintain the meeting rules. Manage committees for nominating and bylaws

Programs Duties: Manage/execute programs/events with district, school and PTA

Reflections Duties: Manage the Texas PTA Reflections program in the Fall for Fowler

SAGE Duties: Manage/execute SPED and GT programs/events with district, school and PTA

Spirit Wear Duties: Manage/execute the sale of spirit wear for Fowler. Work in conjunction with Ways & Means

Technology Chair Duties: Manage the maintaince of the Fowler PTA website

Volunteers Duties: Manage/execute any volunteer needs for the school
